The Challenge
Develop
a website and build brand identity for a world-wide membership organization
that included information for member companies to develop technical
specifications and the market for open interoperable control networking
devices in the home, building, industrial, transportation and utility
industries.
They
had a hosted web site with less than 10 pages that was not only
expensive to update and maintain through an outside vendor, but
required FTP access to member-only information. They needed an updated
web site that was rich in content, easy to use and more cost effective
to maintain.
The Solution
A website
that is easily manageable, functional, and rich in information hosted
on a new secure web server within the corporate headquarters of
a sponsor company; resulting in reduced maintenance costs and increased
site traffic by 50%.
Tasks
accomplished

- Created and maintained multiple opt-in/out mailing lists
with ListStar Listserver
- Implemented a restricted content area with NTFS password
protection
- Configured and maintained an Internet server with Microsoft
Windows NT and IIS
- Analyzed competitive market to ascertain optimum keywords,
integrated these into text, header files for index and interior
pages of web site, and deployed a manual Search Engine submissions
process that generated page one listings via top ten Search
Engines
- Analyzed web site traffic statistics with MarketWave Hitlist
Pro software
- Generated additional content through co-marketing programs
