Develop
an Internet marketing plan to support new messaging strategies,
build brand value, educate targeted audience, simplify site content
management, and provide a direct communication method for worldwide
member companies to work together remotely on marketing and technical
programs.
The Solution
A redesigned
website available in five languages (French, German, Italian and
Spanish) featuring a new look & feel, new messaging and a new
user interface that permits users to quickly and logically find
information and branded products.
A password-accessible
discussion forum that enabled members to facilitate communication
for the development of technical specifications.
A targeted
co-marketing program that enhanced brand awareness, generated qualified
leads, and produced quality content.
Tasks
accomplished
- Developed, implemented and managed an interactive marketing
program that met online and offline objectives, was within
budget and increased site traffic by 300% in first year.
- Analyzed competitive market to ascertain optimum keywords,
integrated these into text, header files for index and interior
pages of web site that generated page one and two listings
via top ten Search Engines
- Assessed available banner advertising inventory from Yahoo!
and multiple targeted industry sites; negotiated media buys,
managed campaigns and reported results bi-annually to membership
- Established and maintained relationships with top level
executives and staff of member companies to generate branded
content and promote participation in interactive and affiliate
marketing programs
- Ensured content adhered to marketing messages and regulatory
standards, such as legal use of corporate logo, trademarks
and copyright
- Designed user-centered site architecture and navigation
- Built a new user interface and web site redesign that
incorporated new messaging and reinforced brand
- Developed over 1100 pages of HTML and JavaScript code
with Notepad and Macromedia Dreamweaver
- Developed over 40 pages of CFM code and SQL queries for
dynamic data-driven web pages and content submission forms
with Macromedia Cold Fusion Studio, Dreamweaver and MS Access
databases
- Defined and managed relational database project; achieving
the goal to effectively maintain and report member company,
financial and product information securely, both in-house
and on the web.
- Created and administered additional databases for multi-language
content management with with MS Access
- Created over 200 graphic elements and optimized over 300
images for the web with Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Fireworks
- Customized, implemented and managed a private discussion
forum featuring mailing support with O'Reilly WebBoard
- Upgraded server hardware and software; configured and
maintained Internet server with Microsoft Windows NT and
IIS
- Configured and monitored Microsoft Index Server, providing
users with powerful query capabilities to locate content
on the web site
- Implemented a restricted content area with NTFS password
protection
- Analyzed web site traffic statistics with with NetIQ Webtrends
